Email Setup Questions
Setting Up Your POP or IMAP Email Address in Microsoft Outlook This tutorial shows you how to set up Microsoft Outlook 2007® to work with your e-mail account. This tutorial focuses on setting up Microsoft Outlook 2007, but these settings are similar in other versions of Microsoft Outlook. You can set up previous versions of Microsoft Outlook by using the settings in this tutorial.

In Microsoft Outlook, from the Tools Menu, select Account Setting

On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next.

For your server type, select POP3 or IMAP, and then click Next.

On the E-mail Account Set-Up window, enter your information as follows:
Your Name: Type your name, i.e. Sharon
E-mail Address: Type your email address, i.e. sharon@iv.bh
Password: Type your email account password

On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3/IMAP) window, enter your information as follows:
Your Name: Type your email address/ your name
E-mail Address: Type your email address again
Password: Type your email account password
Incoming mail server (Details can be checked through your Email Server Provider/ System Administrator): i.e. mail.iv.bh
Outgoing mail server: – i.e. mail.iv.bh

You can check by clicking on “Test Account Settings”. Everything should be completed successfully. |

Click Next. Then click Finish.

Go to Internet Explorer/ Mozilla Firefox or any browser. |

Type www.domainname/webmail to the browser’s address bar. Note: “domainname” text should be changed with your actual Company’s domain name and don’t forget to add text /webmail after the domain name. i.e. www.iv.bh/webmail |

Click Enter. Now you can browse your emails wherever you are! |

Go to Internet Explorer/ Mozilla Firefox or any browser. |

Type www.domainname/webmail to the browser’s address bar. Note: “domainname” text should be changed with your actual Company’s domain name and don’t forget add text /webmail after the domain name. i.e. www.iv.bh/webmail |

Then, Press “Change Your Email Password” |

Type Your Email Id, Domain Name and Current Password

Type your Email Address, Password (old), New Password and Confirm New Password.

Click “Change Password”. Everything should be completed successfully. |

Tick “Send Vacation Auto-Response” box |

Fill-up Vacation Subject and Vacation Message |

Click Modify User. Then, log-out.

Internet Questions and Web Browsers Tips

You can check your internet speed by accessing http://www.speedtest.net/. Once accessed, press “Begin Test”. Wait for at least 10 seconds to see the results. |

You can check your IP Address by accessing http://www.ip-adress.com. Once accessed, press “My IP”. Wait for at least 5 seconds to see the results. |

For Internet, FireFox and Opera Users
- Press CTRL + T for opening a new tab.
- Pressing CTRL + Shift + T will undo the closed tab. Alternatively, right clicking on a portion of the tab bar will also display this option.
- Right-clicking the active tab will give you an option to close all other non-active tabs.

When visiting a web page you may come across something you like, for those pages that don't have an e-mail option following the below simple steps can allow you to easily send a link to a friend.
For Internet Explorer Users
Send a friend the web page you are viewing by clicking File, Send, and "Page by E-mail". If you do not see the File menu press the Alt key.
For Firefox users
Right-click on the page you wish to send to your friend and in the menu click Send link.
For Opera Users
Right-click on the page you wish to send to your friend and in the menu click Send link by Mail.
Netscape users
Send a friend the web page you are viewing by clicking File, and "Send Page". |

For Internet Explorer and Mozilla Users
Press F6 key on the top of your keyboard to get to the address bar.
For Opera User
Press the F8 key to get to the address bar.
For Internet Explorer, Mozilla Users, Netscape, etc. Users
Users can also use CTRL + L and/or CTRL+O to quickly get to the browser address bar in almost all browsers. |

For web pages that do not list their last modified date, you can quickly determine the exact date and time when a website was last updated or modified by inserting the below string into the address bar.
